Family visit

Dusty, Carrie, Lilly & Isaac came out for
their first visit to Tennessee. All the cousins had so much fun playing & getting reacquainted with each other. (The grownups had fun too.) We visited Nashville, the Parthenon & the battlefield.
It's hard to get all four to sit still at the same time!

A day at the zoo

He's a Wild One!

"We're lost Mrs. Ward! We're lost!"
My group of boys had quite a sense of humor. I told them that if I can't see them or they couldn't see me, then they were lost & I didn't want any lost boys.

The skull of an elephant.

This one's for you Grandma!

They got to feed the birds some nectar. Yum!

Watch Out! That hippo is trying to eat you!

Limbo Champ

Every month the school has a skate night. We try to go whenever possible because the kids love it so much. They have open skate & do a few games & races through out the night. This month Eli decided to participate in the Limbo game. As it turns out he won. We were all very excited. Adrienne also won a t-shirt from the skating rink so we had a car full of winners on the way home that night!

Recent projects

Here are a couple of my most recent projects that I've been working on. I've been selling embroidered burp cloths and embellished hooded towels to friends.

For this burp cloth I was asked to match the fabric. That was fun & challenging.

Spring Break

One of the things on Eli's list for spring break was to go to the park & go on a hike. We actually went to the park several times with the good weather and managed to go on a good hike one afternoon before the weather turned. It was a little over 2 miles and we did it without a lot of complaining or stopping! I remember the first time we attempted this hike after we moved here & it was much different. I think Tony ended up carrying both kids the last half of the hike. This time Eli even carried the backpack with the snack & drinks in it. My kids are getting so big!

We hiked to the river. It was the first time we have seen water flowing over the "waterfalls".

We found some trillium growing in the woods. So pretty.

We got a new car!

Tony is no longer in training and we now have this lovely car at our home. The mail lady already left a note asking him not to park near the mailbox. Hee hee. I especially loved the glow in the dark escape pull in the trunk. If you pull it you have to jump really high & then run, or so it seems to say.

Spa Day

We had our spa day at MOPs. I got a back massage, hand massage, foot massage, mini facial, accupuncture & got to participate in the spa day marketplace. It was a busy but relaxing day.

A little accupuncture at our MOPs spa day.

Some towels I made to sell at spa day.

Happy Birthday!

The kids wanted to surprise Tony when he got home from work on his birthday. They helped hang up streamers & balloons & even cleaned up the dining room. They were so proud of the results & the presents they wrapped themselves.

Happy kid & Daddy sandwich.
