Dress-up

Adrienne playing dress-up with Nana.

It's like a cross between a fairy & Mary Poppins. Fairy Poppins.

Chuck E. Cheese

While I was in Japan, Nana came to stay with the kids. One of her first duties was to take Adrienne to a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. I hear a good time was had by all.

Skee ball, my favorite!

I wonder who was winning?

Adrienne loves Nana hugs!

Easter afternoon photos

These pictures were taken in our front yard on Easter, in April.

They really are friends!

He was trying so hard to keep his eyes open in the sun. Look at that determination!

Fairy & Elf day at the mall

This was in April...

Have you ever seen a fairy riding a bike? Her wings were tired. :)

This is a snail sculpture at the mall. (This photo's for you Yaya!)

So pretty.

The kids had their own parade.

Japan Day 1

Technically, we arrived at night but I was too tired to take any photos! Here are some from the next morning.

This are our beds we slept in that first night.

Hiroko's parents gave us their room & beds too, I suspect.

When we got up we had a feast waiting for us for breakfast.

We went for a walk with Hiroko in her neighborhood & saw some beautiful Iris' & Cherry blossoms.

When we got back we found our room all made up. This is the view from the entry hall looking into the room.

While on our walk we went shopping & bought some tempura for lunch. Her mom made us some noodles & broth to eat with the tempura.

Her dad came in with some sushi for us too. I was so full from the tempura that I could hardly eat any of the sushi. I really wanted to because you know I love sushi!

Visiting with family

On my way to Japan I stopped off in Nevada & California to (quickly) see my siblings.

This is me showing off my quilt I made for Hiroko & Mitsuru for their wedding gift. This picture was taken at Rebecca's house in Reno.

The 3 sisters together. Esther flew in from North Carolina to visit at the same time so we got to have just a little bit of sister time.

The Aunties with their nieces.

We even managed to get a photo with all of the girls at Rebecca's house. Look at the happy Grandma. :)

I even got to see Colleen & the kids. Some more niece time!

Wyatt & I visiting at his work.

Some Easter Photos

Eli had an easter Egg Hunt at school & Adrienne came too. She got to hunt for eggs for a girl who was absent that day. One of the other class Moms gave Adrienne a little goodie bag she made for her so she wouldn't feel left out. It's so sweet how they include her in the goings on at school. Eli had fun hunting for his eggs & running all over the fields at school.

This was an easter hunt that was sponsored for our neighborhood. Eli found the "golden egg" & won a big bunny!

They were so happy with their eggs!

Here is some of the art they created by themselves at the park.

Recent projects

Here are a couple of my most recent projects that I've been working on. I've been selling embroidered burp cloths and embellished hooded towels to friends.

For this burp cloth I was asked to match the fabric. That was fun & challenging.

Spring Break

One of the things on Eli's list for spring break was to go to the park & go on a hike. We actually went to the park several times with the good weather and managed to go on a good hike one afternoon before the weather turned. It was a little over 2 miles and we did it without a lot of complaining or stopping! I remember the first time we attempted this hike after we moved here & it was much different. I think Tony ended up carrying both kids the last half of the hike. This time Eli even carried the backpack with the snack & drinks in it. My kids are getting so big!

We hiked to the river. It was the first time we have seen water flowing over the "waterfalls".

We found some trillium growing in the woods. So pretty.
